Fort Kniepass is the perfect excursion destination for school classes, but also for all other groups: On the one hand, the KniePASS adventure trail and the exhibition on the subject of "Borders" offer an exciting and educational journey of discovery through history and culture. But history and stories become even more vivid during our special themed tours.

Guided tour for school classes & children: We conquer the Kniepass!
Together we go on a journey of discovery and explore the secrets of Fort Kniepass! On this guided tour, you will learn all about borders and fortifications in Salzburger Land in a fun way. Secret places, special events and funny stories form the basis for our joint conquest tour. At the end of the tour, we speed down the slide back to the starting point.
Location: Meeting point in front of the visitor center
Duration: approx. 90 minutes
Price/child: € 11 incl. ACTION/slide; up to 31 pupils 1 accompanying person free; from 32 pupils 2 accompanying persons free

Themed tour for adults: What is a fort?
Experience the history of Fort Kniepass on a guided tour. On this guided tour from a historical perspective, you will learn many interesting and exciting details about border fortifications in the province of Salzburg. The history of Fort Kniepass dates back to the 14th century. During the Thirty Years' War, Archbishop Paris Lodron had the Kniepass built into a fortified position. It is still preserved in its original state today.
