Theater in the open air: "The Siege"
A piece of history comes to life!
To mark the 500th anniversary of the great peasant uprising of 1525, the play "The Siege" will be premiered in summer 2025 - in the impressive courtyard of Hohensalzburg Fortress as well as in other castles in the province of Salzburg.
The gripping production tells the story of the siege of the fortress by the rebellious peasants, is based on in-depth historical research and builds a bridge to the present day - between power and powerlessness, then and now.
